Live-Cooking Lunchbuffet at Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk

Please note! No lunch buffet will be served in our restaurant on King's Day (Saturday 27 April). However, it is possible to have lunch à la carte in our brasserie on Saturday 27 April. Restaurant Groen will open at 17:00 on King's Day, at which time we would like to welcome you for dinner.

On Ascension Day (Thursday 9 May), however, a lunch buffet will be offered at a modified price: €27,50 for adults and €18,50 for children aged 4 to 11.

LUNCHBUFFET IN GRONINGEN

From Monday to Saturday between 12:00 and 14:00 we welcome you for our Live Cooking lunch buffet. The name says it all: 'live and cooking'. With us you can enjoy dishes that are prepared live by our Live Cooking Van der Valk chefs. Of course you can indicate your order yourself, along with the desired preparation method. Our chefs are also happy to think along with you! How nice is it to order your dishes yourself and perhaps learn something from the preparation method of our enthusiastic employees? We do our utmost to offer our guests a friendly service with surprising interpretation.

UNLIMITED ENJOYMENT OF THE LUNCH BUFFET

The Live Cooking Van der Valk concept is based on self-service, which is also the case with us. You decide how often you want to visit the buffet and what you want to eat. Hereby we give you an idea of which dishes you can expect during Live Cooking lunch buffet in Groningen:

  • Cup of seasonal soup
  • Various types of bread
  • Butter, herb butter, tapenade and olive oil
  • Various types of cheese and meat products
  • Extensive salad bar with homemade salads
  • Various toppings and dressings for the salad
  • Yoghurt and cottage cheese
  • Fresh and dried fruit
  • Various live cooking dishes (meat/fish) with seasonal vegetables and vegetarian pasta

The Live Cooking lunch buffet includes drinks such as coffee, tea, fruit juices, mineral water, milk, buttermilk and chocolate milk. Other drinks can of course be ordered, but are exclusive and are calculated on the basis of subsequent calculation.

Do you have something nice to celebrate? Then you can order a (non-alcoholic) bubble prior to the Live-Cooking lunch buffet for 3.00 per person. Prefer to finish with a festive dessert? This is also possible! For 5.00 per person we serve you the 'sweet cherry' dessert. This dessert consists of cherries, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. This upgrade can be optionally booked.

The prices of our Live-Cooking Lunchbuffet at Van der Valk Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk are the following:

Adults: € 23,50 per person
Children from 4 to 11 years: € 16,50 per person
Children from 0 to 3 years: Free
