Discover Groningen with our cycling package! Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk is located almost directly on the nature reserve De Onlanden. The De Onlanden nature reserve is an area of 3,500 contiguous football fields, with rugged meadows, swamp forest and plenty of space for excess water. It is also referred to as Groningen's backyard. De Onlanden has been designated as a protected nature reserve and falls under Natura 2000. You will also pass through picturesque villages such as Peize, Vries, Tynaarlo and Onnen. In these places you can admire some ancient monuments.

It is also possible to follow a slightly different route and thus arrive at the dolmens. Just below Groningen are the only Dolmens in the province of Groningen. At the reception you will receive a cycling map showing the most beautiful routes through the nature reserve.

In addition, you will stay 2 nights at Van der Valk Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk in our spacious comfort or deluxe room and you can make use of our extensive breakfast buffet. During the bike ride, you will be given a knapsack filled with an apple, a Snelle Jelle spice cake and a pack of water for the journey. Are you going out all day? It is also possible to reserve a lunchbox. After the bike ride you can enjoy a delicious three-course dinner.
